If you are a B.C. resident who has been in an accident, or if you or an immediate family member has been the victim or witness of a violent crime, you may be eligible for free mental health support.

ICBC Accident Counselling

(First 12 Weeks Post-Accident)

B.C. residents involved in an accident are eligible for 12 pre-approved counselling sessions within the first 12 weeks—no doctor’s referral or ICBC approval required.

All you need is:

• Accident Date

• ICBC Claim Number

• Birthdate

• Date / Time to Connect

ICBC Accident Counselling

(12 Weeks After the Accident)

If you are a B.C. resident and it has been 12 weeks since your accident, you may still be eligible for mental health support.

All you need is:

• A doctor’s note stating a need for counselling, connected to the accident 

• Accident date

• ICBC Claim Number

• Birthdate

• Date / Time to Connect

Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) Counselling

If you or an immediate family member in British Columbia has been a victim or witness of a violent crime, you may be eligible for counselling coverage through the Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP).
