Each individual who sits across from a therapist is going through something unique. There is no one approach that works for every single person out there. If there were, this mental health thing would be easy! However, it’s not so simple.
It is of the utmost importance that I meet you where you are at and utilize the best approach for you. I take pride in my therapeutic knowledge, counselling skills, life experience, and my ability to adapt to help folks in need heal, grow, and flourish.
It is important to work on the edge of your comfort zone and gently challenge, but it’s also important to not force a style of counselling on you. Attuning to how much can be handled in session is key.
